Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
Health Sciences Archive ("we", "us") is a small, independently-run publication. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why, and how it's handled. We collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
Reading the guides requires nothing from you — no account, no email, no cookies beyond what's strictly needed to run the site.
Signing up for email updates (optional, on individual guide pages or for the Corrections Checklist) stores the email address you provide, so we know where to send what you asked for. We never ask for or store your name, address, or any payment details.
Creating an account (optional) stores your email and a securely hashed password, used only to let you sign in.
Where your data is stored
Account records and email sign-ups are stored with Supabase, our database provider. Access to this data is restricted and used solely to operate the Archive. We also retain records of guides purchased before the Archive became free, for support and refund purposes — contact us if you need a refund on an old purchase.
Analytics, ads, and tracking
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic to the site — things like page views and rough visitor counts. It's privacy-first by design: no cookies, no cross-site tracking, no fingerprinting, and no way for it to identify you individually. We run no ad pixels and no behavioural trackers, and we don't sell or share your information with advertisers, because there are none.
We use your email for a small, clearly-scoped set of purposes — summarized below. We never share your address with anyone else. Any non-essential email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can contact us to opt out.
| When you'd receive it | Purpose | |
|---|---|---|
| Corrections Checklist | After requesting our free Corrections Checklist | Deliver the checklist you asked for |
| Guide updates | After opting in on a specific guide's page | Notify you when that guide is revised |
| Contact reply | After you contact us | Respond to your message |
Your rights
