Health Sciences Archive ("we", "us") is a small, independently-run publication. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why, and how it's handled. We collect as little as possible.
Information we collect
Reading the free guides requires nothing from you — no account, no email, no cookies beyond what's strictly needed to run the site.
Buying a premium guide requires an email address. Your guide is available to download immediately after payment, and we also send a backup download link and purchase confirmation to that address. If you check out as a guest, we store your email and purchase record so you can retrieve your guide later — we never ask for or store your name, address, or any payment details.
Creating an account (optional) stores your email and a securely hashed password, used only to let you sign in and access guides you've purchased.
Payment processing
All payments are handled by Stripe on their own secure, hosted checkout page. We never see, receive, or store your card number, expiry date, or CVC — that information goes directly to Stripe, which is independently certified to handle payment data (PCI-DSS Level 1). Stripe's own privacy policy governs how they process that data.
Where your data is stored
Account and purchase records (email address, which guide you bought, and your download link) are stored with Supabase, our database provider. Access to this data is restricted and used solely to operate the Archive — to verify purchases, issue downloads, and provide customer support.
Analytics, ads, and tracking
We don't run third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts of any kind — no Google Analytics, no ad pixels, no behavioural trackers. We don't sell or share your information with advertisers, because there are none.
We use your email only to deliver your purchase (download link and receipt) and to respond if you contact us. We don't send marketing email and don't share your address with anyone else.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, or delete it at any time — just contact us. Deleting your account or purchase record won't affect a download link you've already received.
